Previously an old drying tower, Cottage Cerqueto has been beautifully restored and is a real gem providing perfect accommodation for two people. Situated near San Pietro (Umbertide), Cottage Cerqueto lies a short drive up a white track and offers privacy and tranquillity in the heart of the Umbrian countryside.
A small but fully equipped kitchen with top of the range appliances has French doors opening onto a private terrace with table and chairs making dining alfresco simple. The kitchen leads into a sitting/dining room area with lovely furnishings. The large bathroom is on the left, with spacious shower and washing machine and stairs wind upwards from the sitting room towards the bedrooms. On the first floor is a twin room and on the mezzanine above is a delightful double bedroom.
There are great views all around and the gardens are extensive and include an olive grove. The tower is attached to the main house although this is rarely occupied by the lovely Australian owner so the accommodation remains a private and intimate space.
For anyone looking for a cottage retreat for two in the heart of Umbria, this property cannot be recommended highly enough. Its location makes it easy to visit all the main attractions including Perugia, Assisi, Deruta, Todi, Gubbio, Città di Castello and Umbertide, while many excellent restaurants and trattoria are within a 15 minute drive. Right on the border with Tuscany, Cortona is easily reached, as are Siena and Florence.

Accommodation
Double bedroom, twin bedroom, large bathroom with shower on ground floor, sitting/dining room, fully equipped kitchen with french doors onto private terrace in the garden beyond.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, a top of the range gas cooker with electric oven and a central block for food preparation. There is a washing machine in the bathroom downstairs.
