With five double bedrooms, all en-suite and one apartment, Casale San Leo offers elegant and comfortable accommodation in a tranquil setting. Painstakingly restored by the owners, this 19th Century farmhouse nestles on the valley floor with views over the surrounding countryside and oak and chestnut wooded hills. There is a swimming pool in the landscaped gardens and a restaurant on site, where guests can relax and sip an aperitivo before dinner on the terrace outside. On the border with Tuscany, Cortona is only half an hour away and Cittΰ di Castello in Umbria, a 20 minute drive.
All rooms are furnished to a very high standard, each with an independent entrance, en-suite bathroom, elegant furniture, luxurious bedcovers and linens, satellite television and mosquito screening on all windows.
Perfectly situated, it is an ideal base from which to explore both Umbria and Tuscany with towns like Perugia, Gubbio, Todi, Cortona and Siena within easy reach as well as the city of Florence.
A great area for excursions on foot, with guided hiking or mountain biking also available. There is horseriding and trekking nearby.

Restaurant:
The style of cooking is elaborate and innovative but keeps true to traditional recipes and ingredients of the area, including porcini mushrooms, white and black truffles and local seasonal produce. The restaurant is on split levels and has an intimate and elegant feel. Guests can relax outside on the spacious and shady terrace for an aperitivo before dinner. Cooking classes are available on request where guests learn to cook authentic Italian dishes in an informal and friendly environment.
