Agriturismo Il Bivio makes perfect farmhouse accommodation. Stays of less than a week are also welcome (see tariffs below)! Lovingly restored by its owners, the farmhouse nestles in the valley, surrounded by cypress trees, olive groves and sunflowers and the short track (200m) to the agriturismo is lined with vines. There are three apartments, each with independent entrance and a wonderfully positioned swimming pool, catching the sun all day. Inside, the apartments are simply yet comfortably furnished in rustic style and retain many of the original features of the old farmhouse.

The agriturismo is open all year round and from spring to autumn guests are welcome to use the swimming pool and the mountain bikes provided to ride through the surrounding countryside. There is an extensive kitchen garden and orchard and guests are encouraged to help themselves!

Each apartment has a fitted corner kitchen with hob and fridge and a full range of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Basic supplies for breakfast such as olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, water, milk etc are provided and there are gifts of homemade marmelade and local honey. Bed, bath and kitchen linen are also provided with a weekly change.

Set a short way from the main road along the Morra valley, Agriturismo Il Bivio offers complete tranquillity combined with ease of access to Città di Castello (10 mins) and Umbertide (10 mins). The small hamlet of Bivio Lugnano has a bar, chemist and a petrol station and is within easy walking distance of the apartments.

The apartments are perfectly located to explore and discover Umbria with Perugia, Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Gubbio, Montone, Cortona, Siena, Todi, Deruta and Montefalco all within easy reach.

Apartment La Penombra – sleeps 2 + 2

This apartment is perfect for a couple. Located on the ground floor, it has a private terrace in front of the independent entrance. There is a double bedroom and bathroom with shower. The spacious living room has a fireplace, sofabed (can sleep a further 2 guests) and dining room table and chairs. The corner kitchen has another set of table and chairs and is well equipped with plates, pans, cutlery etc. A washing machine for guests’ use is in the communal laundry room.

Apartment La Luna – sleeps 4 – 5

Perfect for a family or two couples, this lovely spacious apartment on the first floor has an independent entrance from the shady loggia. There is a double bedroom (with the possibility of adding an extra single bed) and a twin/double bedroom. There is a bathroom with shower. The large living room has a fireplace, dining table and chairs and comfortable sofa and chair. There is a well equipped kitchen and guests can use the communal washing machine on the ground floor.

Apartment Il Sole – sleeps 4 – 5

A sunlit and spacious apartment on the first floor with independent entrance from the shady loggia. There is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The sitting area has a sofabed (for an extra guest) and the well equipped corner kitchen has a dining table and chairs. Guests can use the communal washing machine in the laundry on the ground floor. Excellent accommodation for a family group.

Swimming Pool

The lovely swimming pool is the perfect place to cool off from the heat of the summer sun! With countryside views in every direction, the pool is suitable for children too with a shallow end and a ledge to stand on running round the bottom of the pool. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.
